We came back from Corsano, We propose for you some photos in the new album that we have just created. it will give you an idea of the area of Salento. We were welcomed warmly and passed a very pleasant time during our visit.

All people and local institutions are very committed to this project and we were able to measure the motivation of the whole political actors in the city, the surroundings cities notably Alessano city, province of Lecce and the whole region of Salento.

A letter of friendship and commitment of the different cities in the network will be sent to every one. It will enhance the involvement of all partners in the project and its realization.

The accommodation provided is situated in Alesano. The equipments, (accommodation, restoration, athletic and cultural activities spaces), are very satisfying and will necessitate only some installations to be able to receive the group of Salento 2006.

The project’s objectives are in coherence with the development issues of the region. Actually, if the tourism development has not began yet, it can’t delay anymore. Economical solutions are to be found quickly for the region which is not very rich and which has to face crucial period in its evolution.

Tourism is a solution.

But comparing with the other experiences it seems necessary to set up a sustainable tourism. The natural environment is fragile and a radical development would inevitably drive to make unbalanced the region. Water management is also a major challenge for the sustainable development of the region.

From now on, we have the whole elements that will drive us to realize our project.
