During the period -10th to July 24th- Targa association welcome different participants from other countries.
FEES:
150 euros including:
Transportation until the village of Targa will be paid by participants.
Members and luggage conveyance.
BUILDING SITE PURPOSES:
This project of Targa July 2006 is much concerned with the issue of water; collecting it for irrigation and drinking. In 1979 and 1987, endeavours were subject to huge rainy storms. Consequently, works and various efforts to attain intended goals were interrupted. Today, Targa association attempts to renew that aspiration, and to go on in that unaccomplished works: to restore and bring water to FWANOU, a bowl of 63 m3, in good conditions. RECEPTION AT THE VILLAGE
The participants will be accommodated within a local family with possibility of camping for those whom wish to. Wild showers and dry toilets will be arranged on the spot of the building site. Concerning the joy and the intellectual sides, this experience is quit promising to provide them. Moreover, Contributors will witness a new culture especially that the building site coincide the done of the harvests season, festivities and nice moment of the villager. The hikers will find their account in the mountains of the anti-atlas.
GEOGRAPHICAL AND CLIMATIC INFORMATION ABOUT TARGA :
Targa is a mountain stated in the center of an anti-Atlas Berber area. Administratively speaking, it is dependent to TAROUDANT province. Targa’s altitude is about 1400 m - 90 km due to South Est of TAROUDANT.
Recently, there have been remarkable contributions to provide the area with necessary infrastructures, therefore, support it to involve efficiently in country development: an asphalted road from TAROUDANT till Targa; a progressive effort to enlarge electrification service over the ground.
During the summer holidays, Targa’s region knows a wonderful dry and hot Climate.
ADDITIONAL CLUES CONCERNING INHABITANTS AND THEIR ACTIVITIES
People whom live in Targa are approximately 360 human beings-35 children- including 23 permanent families. They survive on cultivation, cereals and breeding goats, hens and sheep. Their refuges are kinds of a lovely ornamented traditional dry stone houses .houses are very gathered and described as being a second store building. To bring water from the far wills, usually people rely on animals especially donkey.
