BUILDING SITE PURPOSES:
This project of Targa July 2006 is much concerned with the issue of water; collecting it for irrigation and drinking. In 1979 and 1987, endeavours were subject to huge rainy storms. Consequently, works and various efforts to attain intended goals were interrupted. Today, Targa association attempts to renew that aspiration, and to go on in that unaccomplished works: to restore and bring water to FWANOU, a bowl of 63 m3, in good conditions.                                                                                                                                             RECEPTION AT THE VILLAGE
The participants will be accommodated within a local family with possibility of camping for those whom wish to. Wild showers and dry toilets will be arranged on the spot of the building site. Concerning the joy and the intellectual sides, this experience is quit promising to provide them. Moreover, Contributors will witness a new culture especially that the building site coincide the done of the harvests season, festivities and nice moment of the villager. The hikers will find their account in the mountains of the anti-atlas.
GEOGRAPHICAL AND CLIMATIC INFORMATION ABOUT TARGA :
Targa is a mountain stated in the center of an anti-Atlas Berber area. Administratively speaking, it is dependent to TAROUDANT province. Targa’s altitude is about 1400 m - 90 km due to South Est of TAROUDANT.
Recently, there have been remarkable contributions to provide the area with necessary infrastructures, therefore, support it to involve efficiently in country development: an asphalted road from TAROUDANT till Targa; a progressive effort to enlarge electrification service over the ground.
During the summer holidays, Targa’s region knows a wonderful dry and hot Climate.
ADDITIONAL CLUES CONCERNING INHABITANTS AND THEIR ACTIVITIES
People whom live in Targa are approximately 360 human beings-35 children- including 23 permanent families. They survive on cultivation, cereals and breeding goats, hens and sheep. Their refuges are kinds of a lovely ornamented traditional dry stone houses .houses are very gathered and described as being a second store building. To bring water from the far wills, usually people rely on animals especially donkey.

chantier jeunes bénévoles : juillet 2006 Targa Village/ Taroudant Ville/ Maroc Pays

les associations : Assarag pour le patrimoine et l'environnement, Targa pour le développement et la protection de l’environnement et Action d'Urgence Internationale organisent un chanteir jeunes bénévoles du 10 au 23 juillet 2006. le projet aura lieu au village de targa (région de Taroudant)

L’objectif du projet est de faciliter aux habitants du village de Tiguemmi N’Targa l’accès à l’eau potable et leur permettre de cultiver des terres abandonnées pour cause de sécheresse.

Targa 2006 sera un espace de rencontre, d’échange et de débat sur le thème de l’eau et ses problématiques.

Situation du Douar
Le Douar de Targa est situé au cœur d’une région berbère de l’anti-Atlas.
Administrativement, Targa relève de la province (département) de Taroudant
- Altitude 1400 m – 90 km au Sud .Est. de Taroudant, route goudronnée jusqu’à Targa
- Electrification en cours
- Climat tempéré, chaud et sec en été.
- Population : 360 habitants stables (35 enfants) – 23 familles permanentes.
- Activité locale : culture en terrasses, céréales, Elevage : poules, chèvres et moutons.
- Habitat : maisons traditionnelles en pierres sèches – les moellons sont utilisés pour les rénovations
- Les maisons sont étagées à flan de montagne et très regroupées.
- L’acheminement de l’eau se fait à dos d’âne

Projet chantier
Ce projet s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une action solidaire sur le thème de l’eau : captage et acheminement pour l’irrigation et l’eau potable, à proximité du village.
Des orages et des pluies abondantes avaient endommagé ces ouvrages en 1979 et 1987 - à l’époque, le captage était rudimentaire. les travaux consisteront en confection du captage d’eau au lieu-dit FWANOU et le réaménagement de la conduite d’eau (ancienne Seguia) un bassin de 63 m3 en bon état.

Accueil au village
Les participants seront accueillis chez une famille au village, avec possibilité de camper pour ceux qui les désirent, douches sauvages, des toilettes sèches seront aménagées sur les lieux du chantier. En matière de confort l’expérience est riche en enseignements .
Le chantier coïncidera avec la fin des moissons, c’est un moment festif pour le villageois.
Les randonneurs trouveront leur compte dans les montagnes de l’anti-atlas.
